This article is a follow up to “Signs That It's Time For A Change In Your Life” and will help you identify the next steps that you need to take to create real change in your life.


'This isn't working.'

'It's not enough.'

'I can't do this anymore.'

'This stinks.'

'I quit.'


If your self-talk sounds anything like this then hopefully you've recognized the need for a change and you're ready to take action to create the changes that you want. You've created a boundary and identified something as no longer acceptable for you. You've said “Enough!!”


Don't stop there, you've only just begun!

So, how do you take that thought process of 'No more' and create a new plan that will actually move you forward?




If you want to create real change in your life, you have to do something different. Here are 6 steps that will help you prepare for a successful life transformation. This is your blueprint. You deserve to have your needs met!



  1. Recognize the need for a change.


  1. Make the desire to change become your priority. Creating a change in your life is your goal. Far too many people unknowingly stop at #1 because they haven't been educated on how to create and implement change. This article is life changing, please share it with your friends and family! 


  1. Surround yourself with the support that you need. Refer to the article Beginning The Healing Journey and make sure to download the free workbook “5 People That You Need In Your Life During Your Personal Transformation”. You want to set yourself up for success and that includes making sure that are aware of the people are most supportive of you. Not everyone is going to be comfortable with you changing. The 5 People that you identify in this workbook are your safety net and will help you feel safe and secure as you work towards making positive changes in your life. 


  1. Align your mind, body and spirit with your goals. Even though you have a positive focus on creating your goals, you will still very likely have hesitation, fear and doubt. It's human nature to subconsciously have the misconception that change as bad. It doesn't mean that you don't really want to change your life; it simply means that before you begin making real progress, you need to first learn how to get out of your own way. By aligning your mind, body and spirit you will begin to allow yourself to embrace the process of personal development, recognizing on multiple levels of awareness that this change is indeed a process. You will be consciously and subconsciously learning how to allow the changes that you want. (Focus on the benefits and identify any potential obstacles.)



  1. Create and then allow the time to sit down to create your goals and a plan of action. This will help you keep yourself accountable and dedicated to changing your life. Working with a Life Coach such as myself, is an excellent way to keep yourself accountable and have guidance while you work towards your goals. 



  1. Continue making progress following the 7 Levels of Change.

    1. Effectiveness- Doing the right things.

    2. Efficiency- Doing the right things the right way.

    3. Improving- Doing things better.

    4. Cutting- Eliminating things that aren't working.

    5. Adapting- Doing things that other successful people are doing.

    6. Different- Doing things that no one else is doing.

    7. Impossible- Doing the things that so called “can't be done”. Remember there is always a first time for everything!



As you're setting yourself up for a life transformation, focus on creating more self awareness. Notice how you feel and react to setting new boundaries and goals. Let go of the things that are holding you back (which present themselves as obstacles in your path).


This set will help you gain a better perspective of where you are in your transformation and allowing you to align with where you want to be. Even if you aren't 100% on your vision of what your personal transformation will look like, you are really aligning with the feeling of what you want to achieve.


Begin to release your fears and hesitation that you hold on a subconscious level, so that you can get out of your own way and allow yourself to be successful. Release and allow. Life is your journey!
